Obituary:
Rolf Canzler passed away on October 19, 2011, shortly after retiring from his practice as a patent attorney.
Rolf Canzler was a founding member of our law firm in 1996. He had previously directed the patent department of the leading Ingolstadt textile manufacturing company Schubert & Salzer Maschinenfabrik for many years, where his inspired patent strategy allowed him to secure the company´s technology advance over rising global competition. His great dedication and solid application allowed him to prevail in the majority of his infringement proceedings at home and abroad, and his immense fund of experience was of constant benefit to the firm.
During his more than 50-year career in law, Rolf Canzler was a tireless advocate for his clients. His cases made history in the legal profession, and were often the subject of legal commentary. His flair, his conviction and his tenacity will remain in memory as an example to us all.
